... pulling the bike out of the garage this morning, I found a spoke from my xt1200z lying on the drive. Not good. The bike currently has Stainless spokes fitted by DaveS, the spoke in question seems to have snapped at the "fixed" end, and looks to have slid out of the "adjusting" end...

There are a bewildering array of headlight bulbs, all claiming to be better and brighter than the next. Given that I need H7 12v 55w bulbs... does anyone have any tried and tested recommendations? Cheap and cheerful and £5 a pair? Or all singing all dancing light up the moon on a cloudy day £30...

Started the bike outside work yesterday, and it turned over and didn't start first time (for a change). Tried again, started. Went out to the garage this morning, dead. No dashlights, alarm wouldn't disarm, nothing. Connected charger, displayed as zero volts, zero amps. I've left it charging...

OK, this may be a stupid question.... When replacing the front brake disks on a big Vara, can the job be done with the wheel in situ, or does it "have" to be done with the wheel off the bike?

My tax is due this month, and as usual I'll be sticking 12 months on. Does anyone know for sure if, once the date for not needing to display a disc comes round, I will be able to remove mine from the bike? Never sure with the DVLA whether it will only be for vehicles taxed after that date or...
