I've also asked on xrv in case anyone still is lurking there
I have been shopping around for a new Multibike policy for my two bikes and have essentially ended with Bikesure or eBike, as both are happy to insure an import bike (NX400)
Bikesure impressed me as they can be bothered to respond to enquiries and provide answers, eBike less so, they push the use of email and then take 2 days to respond...
However both are probably on a par for cover, although Bikesure are maybe 10% more expensive, but the ability to speak to someone without paying a premium line rate is good* I am also not that keen on the idea of an Insurer who can barely speak to me when I WANT to give them money...!!
BUT, Bikesure's European cover is to me, a strangely worded piece, so that I have asked for clarification. "If You give Us 14 days prior notification of Your intention to use Your Motorcycle abroad and pay any additional premium required"
With Carole Nash and before that another company, whose name now escapes me, simply telling the company I was going to be travelling abroad (paying a European premium is possibly a hint!) was near enough, Bikesure want me to contact them 14 days in advance each time. They might accept a phoned notification at short notice though... This seems a bit silly to me as I often will go at very short notice when I can slip away from the farm.
Question. Any Bikesure users care to comment on their experiences please, on notifying the Company at short notice, please?
