hadn't thought of the "bllod cooling as it goes down the legs" phenomenon, but to be fair, down to 0 deg C i'm fine at non mortorway speeds, except for the feet ( my jacket liner is so efficient that i only wear a T shirt and thinpolo neck sweater under it and its a problem when I stop cos if i take the jacket off I freeze...) hands are in furygan winter gloves and behind the deflectors on the tiger's bars and legs are in "proper" leather bike trousers with thermals underneath if neccesary. The poor footsies however are in single skin leather mid season touring bike boots which are not only 20 something years old and of a size not permitting big woolly socks, but have the soles starting to open up at the toes and a full length zip down the inside on which the stitching is starting to come apart and leave openings... not surprising me feets is cold really... i just needs some now boots for Christmas. Seen some nice dainese goretex ones but 260€....
