Who was the twonk that decided to put right angle valves on my africa twin. All my kit is set up for straight ones, had to get bits out of puncture repair outfit to get it to work.

And if that looks awkward, trying to thread the pressure gauge and pump through the spokes, thats because it is.

I mean, really?

Then you have to pump it up higher to compensate for the leakage when you take the adaptor off the valve.

Any one else got same problem on their bike?

Pencil gauge works a treat on the same valves on the NC . . . and a stirup cycle pump connects to them no bother if more air is required.

Like Steve I have used a pencil gauge for years and my wee compressor works on straight or right angle valves, nae digital garbage here!:oldman:

I have found a hand pump that comes out the end rather than the side, or one with tube attachment.
Quite fancy the analogue pressure gauge, but with dial, I can read that without glasses.:cool:

Huh, I was very happy to put one of those 90 degree ones in my GS rear wheel, as with the cross spokes and the big drum brake it's nearly impossible to get an average air source onto a straight one, especially the ones you find at petrol stations.

They can be a bit tight on the rim if your pump has a big head, there is that. ;)
