Oh and my dad found a dead body once. Well his dog did. Lay by off the A5 near Cannock. Suicide it was but dad had to attend police, coroners etc. I think he was a murder suspect for a while.

Typical Polis, getting the wrong suspect all the time - they should have put the dog in dock

Driving home from Copenhagen on the motorway, I ran out of petrol about 200 mtrs from a petrol station.
While pushing my bike on the hard shoulder I came across a wallet with about £80 in it. :thumbsupanim:
The wallet also contained some ID from a doctor in Copenhagen so I posted it to him minus a small finders fee.

I do remember seeing trashed cassettes with tape hanging from the trees, and just to show my age 8 tracks as well

The best thing the stranger picked up was my tool belt I left in a lay-by in Warminster. Lots of nice kit in that one :(

Recently..

An assorted set of 10 brand-new bungee cords.

A two-into-one lighting lead adaptor for a newer style towing socket.

And a large enough stack of laminate flooring to properly bling my garage loft space :thumbsupanim:

My trained eye comes with experience folks, from the age of about 6, while the other kids were playing in the park, I was busy diving into skips :D

I once found a deer standing in the road at 4am while travelling to work at 60mph.
It became roadside very quickly......Does that count?

I dropped a Wolfman fender bag containing 2 HD inner tubes yesterday in N Wales.

Noticed it missing at top of the Wayfarer so rode all the way back to the road and up again but to no avail. Likely on another nearby trail. I remember one particularly steep, steppy climb where it might have bounced off. Sorry no grid refs as I wasn't navigating and we covered about 120 miles. If anyone wants to go and look for it you're welcome to keep it, at least it will go to a good home. About 60 squids worth of kit!! I am going for the rear rack option from now on.

Maybe we need a "Lost and Found" thread?
