Give her a hug from us :)

Cheers guys
In the moment its more the mental side of things which are a bit tough. I know that skin cancer is one of the easier ones if caught early(I had so far 6 little buggers removed from my back) but its the not knowing bit.
Deb is more upset i think about missing the trip :( but with the way the NHS works we don't want to risk missing the appointment as you never know how long it would take to get the next one.
We still will go for a weekend camping somewhere( just to take her mind of things ) but in the moment the focus is more on getting it checked out and sorted

p.s.Phil,i framed your "I thought you where a bit quiet"   just for future reference :D

Ok guys, on reflection, the reason for our trip to Germany was to help celebrate Petes birthday.

Due to a whole heap of other stuff going on at the moment and that Pete and Deb are unable to make it, I'm afraid that we will no longer be going to Germany with you all in June.

OK so who is still going then? Andy and I have booked the ferry so we will certainly be going somewhere but our main reason for going to the Mosel again was to meet up with everyone. Clearly if people will still going from the forum then so will we but if not we will look to other parts of Germany that we haven't been to before.

Can we have a roll call?

We didn't want to cock anyones plans up Gordon.
As things are, time and funds will be better used elsewhere for us at the moment.

Pete,

Tell the little woman to relax and take it in her stride as I'm sure she'll be fine (I know it's a worry, but worrying fixes nowt).

Take care, the pair of you, and I'll see you both at a rally sometime this year :thumbsupanim:

Just read what is happening. Re getting medical appointments quickly, its sometimes worth speaking to the secretary and letting them know you will attend at short notice. If they get a cancelation and know they can contact you to fill it they will.
I was in a queue for an op. I said I would attend at short notice should the have space available. Got a phonecall on a Thursday night and went in Friday morning.
May be worth a try to reduce the stress of waiting.
Hope everything works out ok. Plenty of support from the forum as I know you realise.

Good call.

I recently had an appointment to see a specialist, something that I was a bit worried about, appointment date came - 7 weeks wait!
I phoned, said it was something that I was quite worried about and really really didn't want to wait that long.
I got a cancellation at 8am the following morning.

It really is wort a shot to push things along ;)

Sorry to hear this. Only thing I can say is the doc referred me once for a skin blemish and, thankfully, it was benign. I'm covered in the little blighters but they're all OK.

Unfortunately, I know from experience that telling Debs this won't make her any less nervous.

Just give her hug from us.

Ditto on this Pete,

Please pass on my best wishes to your better half.

June seems like a long time away for an op ??

Good luck mate, chin up

It will be hard for Debs not to think negative due to the family history. Your doing the right thing, this crowd can use a map and celebrate with you later in the year :). Taking Debs for a weekend away is an excellent idea, is Scotland not your second home ;). All the best

Pete,

Come up here for a bit of solitude.
Usual rules, usual bedroom !!!!!

I'm off to the GP in June, but home the rest of the time

Humungous best wishes to the missus please Pete. I trust that any concerns are benign and you can both move on and get back to a normal life ASAP.
