On Topic: still waiting on news if I can take leave, Hudders as witnessed at the Welsh I am no longer a heavy drinker and I am now sensible unlike some.

Ok a little update

The plan is to stay on a campsite in Bernkastel-Kues which i had a reply already and they are happy to take a group of bikers the only worry would be the Garden gnomes on the campsite as i recon we could loose Hudders

http://en.bernkastel.de/holiday-region/ ... -kues.html

fron Saturday till Wednesday

I am looking at the moment at a few options for daytrips

One of them to this Castle, nice ride along the Mosel, visit the Castle and have lunch somewhere on the way back

http://www.burg-eltz.de/en/home.html

another trip would be to Idar Oberstein, the centre for semi-precious stones in Germany along some nice roads. Idar Oberstein is also famous for "Spiessbraten" which some of you have tried already

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idar-Obers ... ightseeing

as before i am NOT planning long 200miles a day trips. Lots of stops and nothing to organized. The usual chaos

Yeah.

Most of it posted by you :D

Looking forward to it Pete.
Not sure about visiting cities, I'd personally prefer countryside bimble & pretty lottle villages :)

For example, Cochem is a pretty little touristy place.

Hope you have booked wall to wall sunshine or I want my money back :eekicon:

Burg Eltz is nice, been there last year. Bit of a hike in bike gear though, unless you can persuade them to park onsite. :D
